Raw Deal Larson Brothers Book 1 edition by Cherrie Lynn Contemporary Romance eBooks

I like Ms. Lynn's writing style. I read several of her previous books and enjoyed them, so of course I had to read the one with a hot fighter. Plus, some of the story takes place in New Orleans. Enough said.

It's the perfect not-going-to-happen love story. Mike fought Savannah's brother and the brother died. Everything and everyone was against them. Heroine's parents would disagree. Brother's widow and heroine's best friend, Rowan, would feel betrayed.

I have to admit, at certain parts, I wanted to throttle the heroine and her best friend, but as the story progressed things changed. I really am being vague on purpose. It's best if every reader experiences everything by themselves. Because there were some feels to it, too.

At first, I didn't know if I wanted to read book two, but finishing this one, I realized I want to because I want to get to know the hero's brother, Zane, better. Well, one of them. The third will be last. I think I'm most eager for Damien's book.

3.5 stars.

Raw Deal Larson Brothers Book 1 edition by Cherrie Lynn Contemporary Romance eBooks Reviews

I really liked the blurb, and have not regretted buying this book one bit. The story was well written and had all the feels. I caught myself picking up on clues for a spin off so we'll see. The main thing I loved is putting the visuals in place. I could easily picture the drive on I 10, as a Houston girl myself I knew of the restaurant he selected for their date, the Ferris wheel, Hotel Zaza (one of the best and most beautiful hotels). I still have pics of the room! Oh, and a sold out concert at the Toyota center with ear splitting screaming. Not to mention the feels as he described sitting in New York traffic. Yup, I could close my eyes and picture it as it played out. Yes I recommend this one!
I've been a long time fan of Cherrie Lynn. But this book was by far her very best. I literally could not have put it down if I tried. As with her Ross Sibling series, Mrs. Lynn gets you in touch with her characters. Not just at the surface but through connecting the reader so deeply that you feel what the characters feel. That's true talent, and this book deserves far more than the wholly inadequate 5 stars I was forced to give it.

I only reserve my opinions on books that I read to occasional reviews because I read a lot and I don't have the time to spend reviewing each of them. I also hate to see so many reviews that give away the whole book, so you won't get that from me. So when I tell you, as I did above, that I can't possibly give this book enough stars, you should jump on it immediately and start reading....you could not possibly be sorry, unless, of course, you don't read it!
I think the title of this book is very appropriate. I am a huge Cherrie Lynn fan and was so excited to see a new book come out. Mike and Savannah's story is very emotional and unconventional. During an MMA fight against Mike, Savannah's brother dies. Mike seeks forgiveness and understanding from Savannah's family. The two become close and have an unlikely love story. This story was so heartbreaking. But heartbreaking in a good way! How do you choose love and forgiveness while not tearing your family apart. Ms Lynn did a fantastic job of telling us how it all unfolded. I highly recommend this book and I can't wait for more in the series.
Just an FYI--I might be a Cherrie Lynn fan girl. Just a little. Ghost from the Ross Sibling series would be my book boyfriend if he wasn't claimed by my BFF. She doesn't share so I have to find a man of my own to fill the void left in my heart by his absence.

Mike might fill that void. He is a hot, hunky chunk of MMA fighter goodness with a sweet caramel center. Besides being a man made to rip panties off, which he does with his strong and skilled fingers (meow!), he is a man made to make your heart all sorts of mushed goo. While dealing with his own demons after accidentally killing her brother in a match, he manages to be the rock-solid support Savannah needs.

And Savannah needs it. Savannah has to be strong for everyone and Mike really allows her to take time to mourn for herself, which is doubly painful in this situation. Their story pulls on the heart because there is so much love between the two of them, yet it feels like family and other fears might keep them apart.

In between all the feels about their relationship, there is some panty-melting sex. It's not just mindless. It can be deep, and soul-merging. I know it sounds cliched, but besides just the fun of sex, it really is about forging an emotional bond with these two. I think that is part of the reason I find it so hot. He manages to eat part of my soul too.

While I am all about Mike and Savannah, I am not ready to do final claims on him yet. There are two other brothers yet to be featured. Maybe I might want to claim Zane, the rock god, as my husband. Maybe Damien, the world-class poker player, might catch my fancy.

In any case, I am willing to share when I make my final decision because I am just sweet like that.
Savannah is a massage therapist and had to bury her brother. He was killed in the ring by a hit to the head. Her sister in law is a mess. They blame the fighter who hit him..Michael.
Michael is a MMA fighter and is taking a lot of heat but no chargers are brought because it was an accident. He goes to the funeral but stays far away until he sees to women break away. He apologizes but Rowan, the wife, doesn't want to listen. Savannah is a little more accepting of him. They meet for coffee and she sees he's not the monster she thought.
They get tickets to Mike's brother Zanes concert and the girls head to Texas. She meets him and spends the night. Rowan is ok until she finds out Savannah slept with him and she says some hateful things.
Mike is willing to do anything to be with Savannah but not at the cost of her family. When he decides to go back into the ring, he may have lost her anyway.
I loved this story. I cried and cheered them on. Mike is a sweetheart and gorgeous. Savannah wants something for herself and she is beautiful. Will leave your pulse pounding, not because of the fight 😉😉. The sex scenes will have a needing a cold shower.
